Infusion Therapy

Delivering Advanced Intravenous Therapies in a Comforting Environment

Some advanced therapies are delivered intravenously, directly into the bloodstream. That’s the case for many rheumatology, neurology, oncology, hematology, and infectious disease patients. KDMC’s newly renovated Infusion Clinic provides a comfortable, relaxing environment for those infusion therapies.

The Infusion Clinic is located on the second floor of the hospital. Our attentive and supportive nursing staff provides watchful supervision. We always strive to make our infusion therapy safe, effective, and convenient.

When Is Infusion Therapy Needed?

Infusion therapy is often prescribed when a patient's condition is so severe that it cannot be effectively treated using oral medications. This method allows for the direct delivery of medication into a patient's bloodstream, ensuring immediate and more efficient absorption. Conditions such as cancer, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and immune deficiencies often necessitate infusion therapy. It's also used in cases of severe infections where high-dose antibiotics are required, which are too potent to be taken orally. Therefore, infusion therapy serves as an essential treatment approach for a range of serious health concerns.

Referrals can be made 24/7. All referrals will be processed promptly by our dedicated case manager.
