Patient Financial Resources

King's Daughters Medical Center recognizes that there are times when patients in need of care will have difficulty paying for the services provided. Our Financial Assistance Program provides discounts to qualifying individuals based on their income. In addition, we can help you apply for free or low-cost insurance if you qualify. Contact our Financial Counselors at 601.823.5320 or go to the Business Services Building across from the hospital for free confidential assistance.

KDMC accepts most major insurance carriers.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Financial Assistance is available for patients with limited incomes and no health insurance or who are underinsured.
  • Patients who need Emergency Services can receive care and get a discount if they meet the income limits.
  • Patients can get discount non-emergency, medically necessary services at KDMC if they meet income limits.
  • All patients presenting for medically necessary emergency care will be served regardless of residence or ability to pay.

The confidential Financial Assistance Questionnaire must be completed. As soon as we have proof of your income, we can process your application for a discount based on your income level.

You can apply for a discount before you have an appointment, when you come to the hospital to get care, or when the bill comes in the mail.

Send or bring the completed application to:

Financial Counseling Services
P.O. Box 5440
Brookhaven, MS 39603

You have up to 30 days after receiving services to submit the application.

KDMC will send you a letter within 30 days after completion and submission of documentation, telling you if you have been approved and the level of discount received.

You cannot be required to pay a hospital bill while your application is being considered. If your application is turned down, the hospital will tell you why in writing.

If you cannot pay your bill, KDMC offers a payment plan to those patients that meet the income limits. The amount you pay depends on the amount of your income.
