Andy Brien, MD
Dr. Brien, a native of Mendenhall, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Belhaven College before attending the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha and was also awarded the Most Outstanding Orthopedic Medical Student. Dr. Brien then completed a sports medicine fellowship in Texas at Baylor College of Medicine and assisted in caring for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, and various collegiate athletes. Dr. Brien holds a Board Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and a subspecialty certification in orthopedic sports medicine.
Dr. Brien specializes in treating the shoulder, knee, and elbow – including ACL and meniscus tears, cartilage injuries, rotator cuff, labral tears, and other sports-related injuries. According to many of Dr. Brien’s patients, he is known for his compassion and accuracy while taking care of his patients. Outside work, Dr. Brien is a devoted husband and father of three beautiful kids.
