New construction and extensive renovations began in 2007 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Construction costs are an estimated $12 million and are expected to be completed in early 2009. This multi-phased program includes 13,000 square feet of new construction and 40,000 square feet of space renovation. The new construction provides a 20-bed Emergency Department including a four-room Fast Track area, an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit, and a new surgical wing with 10 private rooms.
