Daytime sleepiness. Irritability. Difficulty focusing. High blood pressure. Obesity. Loud snoring … all of these are signs of sleep apnea. King’s Daughters Medical Center opened its new Sleep Center in June 2007 to offer comprehensive sleep testing in the Brookhaven area. Once a physician refers a patient for a sleep evaluation, that patient schedules their appointment at the center, which offers two comfortable, beautifully-furnished bedrooms to make the overnight stay just like home. Sleep evaluations are completed by certified, professional staff and are interpreted by local physician Dr. Spencer Mooney and Jackson-area pulmonary specialist Dr. Maria Rappai.
