The laboratory at King's Daughters Medical Center is dedicated to producing highly accurate and reliable test results in a timely manner. In order to assist physicians in monitoring their patient's conditions, King's Daughters Medical Center's laboratory is staffed with registered medical technologists and technicians 24 hours a day. Under the direction of Board Certified Pathologists, the lab performs tests on blood, tissue samples and body fluids to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of illness. Services available include surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, urinalysis, and serology. A wide variety of diagnostic studies are available through the hospital's laboratory, which is accredited by The College of American Pathologists.
